I have been living in the DRC since June 2007 and now I am based in Goma working with the Alternative Energy Program. All efforts are made towards preserving the forests of Virunga while providing with a sustainable liveihood to local populations.

We are in the process of designing a craved gorilla door that will retail for $2,500.00 us. $500.00 dollars of each door sold will go towards efforts to put an end to the need for deforestation and the need to use coal. What do you think about portable propane stoves as the best alternative?
